FAQs
What does the train need to operate?
The best surfaces are concrete, asphalt, and gravel. The train can operate on grass; however, a rough surface will result in a bumpy ride. We do not operate on hills and require an area with little to no incline. The ideal space for the train to operate is roughly the size of a 10-car parking lot. It is capable of turning around on a standard-sized street, so long stretches work well too. We also require a designated location to park our truck and trailer to safely load and unload the train.
Where are you located and do you deliver?
We are located in Hartford, SD. We provide free delivery anywhere within a 25-mile radius. For events outside of that area, delivery is available for approximately $1.70 per mile (round trip). Customer pick-up is also an option.
Do you provide a train operator?
Our hourly packages include a professional operator who will drive the train for you. Our full-day packages do not include an operator, and you will need to designate a driver.
What happens if we cancel or we get bad weather?
If you cancel more than 48 hours prior to your event, we will provide a full refund. We also provide a full refund if inclement weather prevents us from safely operating the train on the day of your event.
Do you offer long term services?
Yes! If you would like to rent the train for multiple days or weeks, please contact us and we will work with you to make it happen.
Do you have a minimum hour requirement?
Yes, we require a minimum rental period of 2 hours. If you need the train for a shorter period, please contact us directly.
How many people can fit on the train?
The 4-car train is designed primarily for children and can fit up to 20 kids total. It is also large enough to accommodate adults, fitting 2 adults and 2 children per car.
Do I need to refuel the train?
Your train will arrive with a full tank of gas, which is typically plenty for a standard event! For hourly rentals, our included operator handles everything. For full-day or multi-day rentals where you do the driving, you are responsible for any additional fuel needed during your event (it takes standard unleaded gas). You do not need to worry about topping off the tank before we pick it up.
